Summer Saturdays Event at the Grand Rapids Public Museum
On July 11th, MLPA was invited to attend an event at the Grand Rapids Public Museum which was focused on birds from the Great Lakes region. This was a great outreach opportunity for us, and we were even able to recruit a couple new Loon Rangers.

Michigan Loon Preservation @ Annual Bluebird Festival 2026
The Michigan Bluebird Society is proud and pleased to announce the 2026 Spring Bluebird Festival, March 28,2026. This annual all day event will be a day of fun and education with the focus on Eastern Bluebirds. Michigan Loon Preservation was invited to set up our display and talk to bird lovers about the Common Loon and the issues. We gained members, a loon ranger, made some sales but most importantly shared information about the loon and why it is important to work to save this Iconic bird.
